A sunny day heralded an atmosphere buzzing with excitement. The enclosed playground provided an ideal venue for the first of a series of Craft Markets to be held at Holy Trinity school, Pavilion Road, off Sloane Square, London. The delights of 30 different crafts stalls tempted the public with everything from home made smoothies to hand crafted ceramic tiles. Kate (from Westender Stitch'n'Bitch) and Sarah were there with their knitting stall and newly launched knitting kits (GiftedKnits) complete with instructional CD-ROM. There were other knitting stalls and complimentary stalls selling buttons, beads and bags.
Worldwide KNIT IN PUBLIC took place from 3pm. Knitters and non-knitters from all over London took part in this event. The Craft Market will take place throughout the summer. A 'Knit-pic' took place in Sheffield's city centre on Saturday June 4th as part of the music festival "Devonshire Jam" .
